We went looking for a company that keeps registers for a living and publishes what it charges, and we did not find one. So here is the whole schedule. You pay for the size of your register — never for how many people log in, and never for how much you raised.

Fee schedule · Deal Box Transfer Services LLC

Charged once a year, by holders of record

Holders of record are everyone your books show as an owner — founders, employees holding shares, angels, funds. Count them and read across.

Holders of recordAnnual fee
Up to 25$0
26 – 75$1,500
76 – 200$3,600
201 – 500$7,200
501 – 1,500$12,000
Over 1,500Quoted in writing

Every band includes every entry, every user and every question. There is no charge per posting, per seat or per login. The first band is free because a company with 25 holders should be spending its money on something else — it is not a trial and it does not expire.

Everything else we charge for, in fullFee
Mirroring the register on-chain and checking the two against each other daily, per issue$1,200 a year
A split, a recap, a conversion, a new class — anything that re-issues the whole register$750 each
Anchoring the record to BitcoinIncluded
Moving your records in, from any system or from paperNo charge
Taking them out again, complete, any day you askNo charge
LeavingNo charge

No price changes inside the term you signed. After a three-year term, no increase greater than the change in the Consumer Price Index. Both of those sit in the agreement, not on a webpage.

Leaving is free, and it is in the contract.

In this industry an exit fee is normal. So is a notice period, a renewal that arrives higher than the last one, and a meeting you have to sit through before anyone will let you cancel.

We charge nothing to move your records in and nothing to take them out. No exit fee, no notice beyond the term, no meeting. Ask on a Tuesday and you have the whole thing — holders, positions, the journal, the written instruction behind every entry, and the trail that proves none of it was altered.

We can afford that because of how the record is built. The trail is anchored to Bitcoin, so anyone can check that your register was not changed after the fact — without asking us, without our software and without our permission. We could not hold your record hostage if we wanted to. Charging you for the door would be charging you for something we do not own.

A company that has to trap you is not keeping your records. It is keeping you.

What a vendor charges you to leave is what that vendor thinks of you.

What the annual fee buys
  • We take what you have — spreadsheets, PDFs, signed paper — rebuild the register from it, and hand you a list of everything that did not add up
  • An opening balance you sign off on before anything goes live
  • The master list of who holds what, kept current
  • Every change posted from a written instruction, and written down in order
  • A running check that the shares issued never exceed the shares authorised
  • A tamper-evident trail: each entry seals the one before it, so an altered page shows
  • Holder questions answered on your behalf
  • Holder list, capitalization report and transfer journal whenever you ask
  • Where the shares also exist on-chain, a daily comparison of the two records
  • A complete export of everything, at any time, including the day you leave
Not sold, at any price
  • 409A valuations
  • Option plan administration and grant issuance
  • Data rooms and fundraising scenario models
  • Fund administration, capital accounts, waterfalls
  • Legal, tax or investment advice

None of it comes back later under another name. It is work we do not do, so that the work we do is the whole of our attention.

What the others print, 3 September 2026

Pulley publishes $1,200 a year for 25 stakeholders, $3,500 for 40, and $4,500 for a token cap table. Mantle publishes a free tier and $1,200 a year. Carta and Fidelity publish a free tier for companies under 25 stakeholders and nothing above it — every larger price is quoted on a call.

Those are prices for software you operate yourself. Ours is the price of a register somebody keeps: a person reads the instruction, checks it against the authority behind it, and posts the entry. It is a different job. At 25 holders it costs what theirs costs, which is nothing.

Taken from each company’s own published pricing page on the date shown. Prices move. Check theirs against ours before you decide anything.
